Then I would focus on that, your good friends, you like them as a person and I’m going to guess you know the position of their heart, your friend may be right leaning that doesn’t have to change the fact that you’re friends, politics is a spectrum and no two people are the same, have a discussion about it, one of openness without accusing one another and see how it goes
