found out the roommate who was so bad she made me go back on antidepressants in fall ‘24 will be my RA for the next academic year 😃 found out towards the end of the spring ‘25 semester and i still haven’t recovered tbh

no cause i need an outlet to vent 😭 how can someone who had no sense of compromise or empathy become an ra? how will she solve roommate disputes between other people when she couldn’t even solve our issues? why isn’t there some sort of peer recommendation as a requirement for the application process? idk unpopular opinion but i think only people who had good relationships w their roommate(s) should become RAs. like how are gonna be a good RA when your roommate moved out cause of you? lol anyway

You can try and let them know how bad of a person she is if you have solid evidence

That’s crazy she went through 3 rounds of interviews there is no way she can’t solve disputes. Some of u just really need to understand that not everyone is compatible with every person on this planet and that’s okay. I understand it’s hard for u but just because u guys had issues in the past doesn’t mean that she should be stopped from getting a position she clearly earned.
