Unfriendly yet going to a public dog park... my friend had a traumatized unfriendly dog instead of making everybody else's problem, she would literally go out her way to rent a spot for a private dog park.

my dog is an anxious GS/BC mix and doesn’t like getting out of her normal routine, she’d be LIVID about this if i had to explain this to her

This is why I kept my dog-aggressive pup on a muzzle, no amount of training helped unfortunately and getting him neutered helped very little. We ended up having to rehome him because he attacked the neighbor’s Jack Russell terrier

It’s amazing the services available now, definitely do sniff spot or something if you can’t trust your dog not to be around others. I’ve helped rehabilitate traumatized dogs and wouldn’t dare have the audacity to say “sorry you can’t come in my dog can’t follow the rules of the park” like????

My dog literally doesn’t speak English so telling him “I know we walked all the way out here but there’s a dog in there that doesn’t want to be your friend today, so we have to walk back without going in and playing. I’m so sorry” does JACK DIDDLY SQUAT AND MAKES ME FEEL LIKE AN ASS
