So I’m on a trip and my roommate for the trip was cursing under her breath at me bc I wanted to be in the adult karaoke room and not the middle school one. We are in our 20s. I didn’t curse when she wanted to do other things….

….she’s complained the whole trip and her attitude the whole time is just SO annoying. And when I told her that she’s all “I guess I’m a horrible person and I ruined your trip” and you know what? I told her if that’s what she thinks, ok. I’m not dealing with that whole manipulation thing

Bc I never said that but I’m not gonna sit there and “oh no it’s ok”

AND most of the reason I didn’t stay in that room is because I have audial overstimulation problems and all the kids yelling was way too much, but I had a lot of fun with the people OUR AGE. Like “I’m not comfortable with the adults” YOU ARE AN ADULT FUCKING ACT LIKE IT. “I’m anxious”. I have a diagnosed anxiety disorder and already know I’m going to have a crash after this trip SO HAVE FUN IN THE MOMENT

I’m sorry, she’s anxious but she wants to be in a room of middle schoolers, the most ruthless grade(s) of kids when it comes to insults? I call bullshit

EXACTLY. We know the adults far better than the kids, and I was getting sensory overload in there but she wanted to be in there SO BAD

That really says something about her maturity if she’s rather be in a room of kids going through the throws of puberty and all the drama that comes with that than a room of fully functioning adults

Yeah, and during the trip I hung out with the middle schoolers a bit (the ones taken on these trips are pretty good/responsible) and would take them to different places (they couldn’t leave the hotel without an adult) so it’s not like they never saw me. It was just too much
