If you have an RA, have them come over and explain to them that they need to try. Offer to get them on campus help. Ask them a ton of questions on what they can and can’t do to try and figure out what chores can be their job. Basically destroy all excuses until they have to do something or admit they’re lazy

I’ve tired “not doing them” but it got to the point we had bugs and mold and they just pretended not to notice and when I caved and cleaned everything the were “coincidentally” about to do said chores
