It’s not disrespectful to do things in your bed when they aren’t there, depending on comfortability you talk to them about it. Freshman year my roommate and I shared each other’s locations and let each other know when we had someone over. You don’t got to tell them Every single time you do anything, just letting them know that someone is there will at least make sure they knock before coming in, and I would check their location before doing anything to make sure they wouldn’t be home soon
Just be proactive about letting them know. I had some pretty shitty roommates last yr. And one of them was dating someone. They would often use the room while I wasn’t there, but there never told me about it. In such events that I would return before they would finish, I’d still accommodate. But sometimes even when notifying them when I’d be back they wouldn’t respect it and force me to work around them. I found it highly disrespectful. Don’t do that. Be proactive of letting roommates know.
Also be respectful of their boundaries around PDA. It’s not weird to have boundaries around this. I often let my roommate know about PDA that was a bit excessive. Like making out in front of me and plenty of times, they did not respect this. Again, don’t be like them. Respect peoples boundaries. Bc you might get someone that’s not as nice as I was to them, and they can Title IX you. Which leads to academic penalties that are 100% avoidable if you just have respect for others.
