For more context I’m a Mexican from a small white town where I met this so called best friend. We had a fight when we moved in, because she told me that since I’m legal I shouldn’t care about ppl being wrongfully detained/deported and that it doesn’t affect me.

I did want to move out when it first happened but it was the first day of us living there and I thought her apology was sincere until now. I’m definitely going to start saving up to break the lease.
