My roommate likes to set the temp to 80°, water all over the kitchen floor and counter tops. There’s now fruit flys/gnats developing. Tooth paste all over the mirror in the bathroom, I’ve tried talking to him but nothing is done. What do I do???

have a sit down conversation with them (possibly in a public place to break up the routine and indicate seriousness) and explain everything u just brought up, the water, rotting food, and most importantly, your animal’s health

He started changing the setting from Heat to Off so it gradually warms up

like this is causing genuine health concerns (start of a bug infestation, mold risk from the water everywhere combined with the heat, your pet has a thick coat and this cannot be good for them, risk of making you overheat as well, etc) and property damage (water damage to the building itself and the furniture, high mold risk due to the water and heat which is probably also causing increased humidity, the toothpaste thing, chance of water damage to electrical stuff, bug infestation could

indicate rotting, bug nests can damage property as well and bugs can get into light fixtures too, etc etc etc). this guy is an actual hazard

Yea until I kept changing it to cool, cause I could hear it every time he changed it to heat so I’d just go turn it back to cold
