I’m a dumbass. I made a questionnaire for potential roommates but it’s at least 45 questions 😭and a good bit are short answer. I would not be surprised if no one wanted to do it

My university does a 10-15 questionnaire for dorming and it’s honestly pretty good. It’ll give you a percentage of how well you’d get along based off of your own answers to those questions. My roommate is now one of my best friends bc of it

I would change them to multiple choice questions so it’s faster. Some quiz makers have a question option for multiple choice with an “other” answer so they can type in their answer if theirs isn’t provided. I’d also aim for half the questions you currently have, maybe combine some of them if they’re similar?

How many credits is it worth?

maybe plan to call your potential roommate and ask them over the phone? that way it’s las overwhelming and you can get the vibe of their personality

I promise I am trying to. I’ve been burned so many times that my brain is like “you gotta protect your peace one way or another”

Can you think of general groups of behaviors, like being messy, being loud, etc that frustrate you? You could pick one question to represent each good/bad behavior

If you are unable to ask your roommate less than 45 questions to see if they’d be a good fit then ur the problem. Maybe just live alone fr

Especially if ur a guy. Idk about the girls but if ur a dude then grow up and learn how to cooperate and negotiate

I take no offense lmfao. This is just unbridled anxiety. I’ve had a racist roommate try to kill me, a roommate who had random men in our apartment, and people who think leaving a seafood boil on the counter for a week is okay

I had the same exact thing happen but instead of the racist roommate she was just drug addicted and batshit insane and would threaten us out of nowhere

we had 45 year old drug addicts in our apartment hanging in her room 😭 just find someone nice that you can click with, seems passionate about school, and isn’t a big partied

Oh my ://. I genuinely don’t understand why those types of people have to spread that type of behavior to others. Every time I had an issue my student apartment said that affairs as such were between the roommates, which fair, but if someone’s life is being threatened I feel we can look between the lines!

Oh yeah for sure. A good bit of these questions mirror each other, I was writing everything that came to mind. Of course this is like the ultimate draft 💀I would not give this to someone

💔one bedroom apartments here are 1650 a month, I cannot afford that.

Do you remember any of the questions for this? My student apartment did this but I always got paired with people who were the complete opposite of me. A few of my questions are: night owl or morning bird, what are you looking for in a roommate, how do you want to solve roommate conflict, etc.

It was basically all of this on top of like when they go to sleep/wake up, how clean/dirty they are, how many times a month they think they’ll have friends/family over. A bunch of that
