I feel this, my roommate had so many dishes in the sink that I couldn’t even fill up my water. When I left for spring break, there were a ton of dishes in the sink and she cleaned them because she stayed there for break, I came back and there was a new pile. I don’t wanna come back to a messy dorm. I’m also the one who cooked the most when I was able so I don’t know how she had it that bad.
This is my boyfriend. He lives with his parents, originally to care for his aging father, but has been taking steps to leave because it is so unhealthy for him. His dad and his mom’s roommate leave the kitchen in such a mess. His dad is constantly spilling things, leaves food rotting in the fridge, constant dishes in the sink, no one cleans them except he and his mom. And they would get it sparkling, only to find it filthy again just a couple hours later.
He and his mom got so tired of being the only people cleaning that they both just eat out, get fast food and junk food. His dad’s hygiene is horrific as well, so he gets anxiety about eating any food that’s in the house that his dad has touched. Constant cross contamination, his dad doesn’t wash his hands, it’s just too much on him now. I’ve been to his apartment and have been helping him make a plan to leave because it’s just awful. The whole place is a mess except my bf’s room.
Exactly. I eat but it’s like never any good food because there’s always stuff to do before I just cook when I feel like it. Even the “clean” pots aren’t clean and they barely been here a few months but my nonstick pans aren’t clean basically damaged because they didn’t know how to use it. So gross and not fun to deal with.
Same here with my pans being damaged. Her food has rotten onto mine twice in the pantry. The battle is literally too big to fight anymore. I was nice for 1.5 semesters and then I finally broke down and told her she was nasty in a not so nice way. So, now the problem is even worse lol. I move at the end of July so just surviving on McDonald’s till then 🫠
