if they’re toxic now it’ll be SO much worse when you’re living together and can’t escape it. random roommates will give you the opportunity to meet new people and branch out. even if it doesn’t go smoothly, it’s a lot easier to be fed up with strangers than it is to feel screwed over by your friends.

living with toxic friends is NOTTTT safe, please trust me i’m speaking from experience. even if you go random and don’t end up liking them, there will be less expectations since you weren’t friends beforehand

You really don’t truly know somebody until you live with them. That shit will break up a friendship quicker than anything 😭 especially if it’s already pretty toxic. living with a random sucks but living with someone you already sorta hated before hand will suck even more.
