Yes it is, but when you share a room with someone, you need to respect each others boundaries. It’s the bare minimum when it comes to having a dorm mate. I wear headphones when he needed quiet. It’s called being an adult and compromising.

Also when I politely asked him if he could turn down the music a little, he threw a temper tantrum like a child and moved out. If you’re not able to make compromises with your roommate, you need to live alone.

This class is literally REQUIRED for me to take. His music and partying is not required. Die mad about it. Sharing a dorm means you need to actually be an adult and be willing to work together, which he clearly was not able to do and ran away.

Giving your roommate a silent treatment just for asking them to turn down the music when you are in a class that’s required to take is not asking too much. It’s really childish to act that way.

But yeah this yak page exists for people to rant about their roommates because that’s what ranting means. A lot of us have gone above and beyond trying to communicate with our roommates but unfortunately some of us have had man children roommates that refuse to communicate like the one I had. 🤷‍♂️
