No, a “little granny bladder” is not a cute quirk, you have a problem. Having to pee multiple times in an hour is not normal for someone in their 20s, especially when you weren’t always like this. GO TO A DOCTOR.

Okay but what does this have to do with roommates?? why are we judging ppl for personal medical problems 😭

Did she do ketamine? Ketamine is well known to cause that. If not that it’s either overactive bladder, kidney/hormone problems, UTI, kidney stones etc

I have a tiny bladder and go at least once an hour minimum. Been checked. It’s just me having a tiny bladder 🤷🏼‍♀️. It’s normal for some people. Like someone else said. Genetics 🤷🏼‍♀️

Tbh it’s a case by case basis. It could be something wrong or it’s just how their body works. Trust she probably is also annoyed by it.

I mean, I had to bee 9 times in an hour once, still didn’t occurs to me to go to the doctor. I only went bc of my back pain, I had an incredibly rare and deadly tumor in my spine. So maybe she should go to the doctor.

That sounds like a sign of a bladder infection that could turn into a kidney infection. I know from personal experience how dangerous they can be as I was almost flown to the Children’s Hospital at 17 because I almost waited until it was too late. I genuinely hope they get the Care they need because that can be deadly

as a person with this problem, it is actually really annoying, i hate having to inconvenience people, and it’s really irritating having to wander to the bathroom every <30 minutes. I complain sometimes too. now if she is just complaining and not acknowledging it as a problem, that’s different. my friends are super aware of the problem and understand, we joke about it all the time

HO HOW DO YOU THINK WE FEEL. that shit is an inconvenience to us for our whole lives. it’s only one to you when YOU make the active decision to come around us.

Sorry I forgot the part 2 bc someone was talking. We are on a trip and have to keep stopping for her/she always is complaining about having to pee but got mad when we said it’s not normal

Ohh okay that makes a lot more sense! Yea in that case it would prolly be annoying to have to stop frequently and I hope she sees a doctor

Se I would say it’s just her…if it didn’t just start like a month ago and she thinks it’s just a quirk that makes her seem “cute” and “like a baby”

Only thing that bothers me is she’ll complain about needing to pee and then not go to the doctor bc it’s a “cute quirk”. She hasn’t always been like this. If it’s so cute then don’t complain to me

I have because of ADHD which causes hypersenstivuty to bodily sensations. We can feel if there’s just a little pee in the bladder we feel we need to empty. I’m retraining my bladder my holding it 10 extra minutes each time

Also just to add it’s not cute or quirky. For people like us it’s FRUSTRATING especially in college classes when it looks like we can’t pay attention. It’s dumb. So not something she should think is cute

It started a month ago for her and she refuses to get checked bc it’s a “cute quirk”. Also is annoying when one of us needs to shower but she pounds on the door bc she needs to pee every 30 min

Or, and get this, pissing multiple times an hour is not normal, especially if you get to the point of discomfort multiple times in an hour. That amount of pissing suggests that the roommate is drinking too many diuretics or has a medical issue, not that the normal pisser is drinking too little water.

Anonymous replying to -> #9 12w

Being drunk makes you piss more often because alcohol lowers your inhibitions, and your inhibitions are what tell you “yeah we can hold it” so when they’re down and you have to piss even a little bit your brain is like “WE HAVE TO PISS RIGHT NOW!”

OP literally said this was multiple times an hour. That is not normal, even if someone is chugging water. Also, there is such a thing as drinking too much water and it tends to put unnecessary strain on the kidneys

If you read some of OP’s replies in the comments, you’ll find that in the case of their roommate, this is a recent development and she refuses to see a doctor while also continuously complaining about it. OP has every right to be annoyed in this situation.

I totally get that this is just the way your body is, and OP probably should have included that context from the beginning, but the point stands it is extremely unlikely to be the same situation with OP’s roommate
