Could it be that you don’t pay attention to when the go bc it doesn’t matter to you, and thus they don’t really pay attention to when you go bc it doesn’t really matter to them? And it’s simply you focusing on yourself in a doom cycle?

i sure hope so 😭 idk the water running through our building when someone uses an appliance on the floor above me is obvious, so i FEEL like i’d notice it regularly, but you’re probably right about me being hyper-focused and under-aware of theirs.
