isn’t a roommate rant but the guy i’m talking to is jsut like lowkey a reckless driver and it really gives me secondhand embarrassment like how are you this bad of a driver and it scares me but he’s perfect in every other way and i’ve pointed it out but

If he’s reckless to the point where it’s endangering you and you don’t feel safe then you’ve got to strongly tell him how you feel

he’s always kinda like “i’m locked in trust me” like it kills my vibe i find bad driving to be so unattractive

Tell him he either fixes his driving or you give his license plate number to the local polices radar to watch for his reckless behavior. Maybe a ticket or two will give him some common sense. I wouldnt stay with someone who doesnt care enough to drive safely in a ton weighing vehicle most likely unless its a tiny car that could easily kill me or someone else. Because thats what him dismissing your concerns is, him telling you he doesnt care about your life. Good luck pookie

I would emphasize that it’s something you feel could break y’all’s relationship, if he doesn’t listen to you then, then maybe that tells you more about him and his willingness to change. maybe bring one of your friends or his friends along for a drive with him and ask them to tell him instead
