As someone who grew up dirt poor (no doctors, no heating/cooling, water, etc) who has now worked up to affording a place with my partner while we both finish advanced degrees the prevalence of those classist feelings in higher Ed is disgusting (I’m teaching classes at a uni rn and my students reflect them awfully)
Just have to say I’m really proud of you for working your butt off to get what you deserve. My dad has a saying “some people are born on third base and think they hit a triple” meaning, they think they worked hard and earned it but they were born already there. People like you im so beyond proud of for being born at the “bottom” and making your way up YOURSELF, so amazing!! Sounds like ops friend is someone who was “born on third base”.❤️❤️❤️❤️
That’s so amazing that you’re helping others, giving them someone you wish you had in a way, I heard once that things can either make you bitter or better, and you choosing to help others instead of being bitter is beautiful ❤️ don’t mean to he cheesy but it’s always nice to hear someone say these things for me
There was no sass. You made a statement, I replied to the statement with zero sarcasm, or ill intent. If anything I could have told you your comment was not necessary because of the reasons I replied with, but I did not want to be sarcastic or “sassy” because that’s not constructive conversation. I never said you couldn’t comment, I simply clarified my statement.
Welp, that’s just how I talk. I try to keep things straight to the point when talking over text, so my thoughts aren’t misconstrued, yet here we are. Again, no one said you weren’t allowed to speak, and you’re being a jerk for no apparent reason. Hope whatever you’re going through gets better and improves your mood ig. Have a nice day.
