Have you paid them yet? Because I would withhold payment until you get the pictures. I would still talk to the roommate about the friend, but in a “hey do you know when their computer issues will be resolved?” kinda way. You might catch the friend in a lie.

I think you got have a little grace too. As a photographer, editing takes time, and if I’m studying for finals, moving back home, graduating, whatever the case may be, that’s a lot to juggle. Not defending her bc not communicating that is an issue, but look at it with grace too

Don’t pay until you get your pictures and it’s okay to ask them again about the computer. Your paying for a service at the end of the day

I took pictures for my friend and told her I’ll be really busy till a certain date and she can expect the good ones after that date and she was okay with it. I also let her have access to the unedited ones because I was going to complete going through the pictures late but those were our agreed terms and that’s the only time it’s okay.

You’re right about grace, but the person needs to speak up about their availability in being able to the job they signed up for. If you knew you had finals and packing and graduation. Don’t take the job. If you can’t juggle what you signed up for you had no business doing so. And most photographers let people know how long it takes them to edit and send off their pictures.

Yea small update I texted the photographer and they said they can send me the unedited pics and I can let them know which ones I’d like first/faster so hopefully I will get acess soon!!
