Clean yourself, take pictures, and leave before your roommate. Send the photos to the landlord and tell them that any mess/damages are not your fault after that.

It’s a common space. It’s your responsibility no matter what. Granted, if they don’t wanna clean their shit, tell the land lord.

I’d say you’re fulfilling your responsibility by not contributing to the mess. It’s your roommates fault for making the mess, so why should you be the one to clean up after them??
