I went to scotland for a while, cant recommend it enough. Beautiful country, genuinely nicest folks ive ever met (and im from the midwest). Horrible weather and wind, constant inclines everywhere and i did fall on one and busted my forehead open (but free healthcare so!!)

But im a michigan girlie so the weather was actually better than what im used to (less snow but a LOT more wind. First week i was there there were 80 mph gusts)

I wanna go back to scotland so bad :( theres cute cafes and taverns everywhere and theyre either very modern or feel like a fairytale cavern. Its so neat. Coffee is also usually served in a straight up bowl if you order it at a sit-down place (which is very fun if youre also on a hill, they fill it to the very top)

Oh theyre lovely. VERY affordable travel within the EU too. Went to berlin for a week and the flight was only like 150$ round trip (USE SKYSCANNER). They do hostels too so if youre okay with those and smart its like 30-70$ a night
