Here’s the thing: I have explained this to them before. I actually spoke with them extensively that while I understand that their room doesn’t have the greatest air circulation, they can’t freeze out the rest of the building (small house renovated to be dorms) and they need to have a fan. They were understanding of that but I guess now that the heat needs to be on they forgot. There’s a dorm meeting tomorrow night where I will be giving a gentle reminder that they can’t just turn off the heat

Forgot to add this but the temp is already set to be a little colder to try and help them out, so a temperature agreement has already been made. All I want is for them to stop plunging the temp to 60 or lower at night.

Turn the heat back to what you guys agreed on if you’re cold or wear more layers. They could also open their windows or get a fan, but it’s unreasonable to ban them from touching the thermostat if they’re super hot. It’s easier for you to get warm than for them to get cold

I’m not trying to ban them and I’m already using blankets, I’m just gonna ask they stop turning the heat off completely and ask for help adjusting the schedule
