I remember having to walk quietly to actively avoid my roommate otherwise she’d hear me and immediately come out her room to ask 101 questions and only talk to me about herself. 🫩

I feel you. I try so hard to be cordial and nice, but I had to start ignoring/avoiding mine bc I couldn’t deal with it. Like 5 min of a “conversation” and my energy is drained

Thing is idm having a CONVERSATION but she would sit and talk about herself and her family all the time (never met any of them). Then if I brought up something about myself she’d turn it into a story about herself again which eventually became draining.

exactly I mean the same. mine constantly talks about her bf, her family, what her friend did the other day and I’m like… idk any of these people and I didn’t ask. Can we talk about ANYTHING else. if i start saying anything I get interrupted. Crazy how people really don’t know how to read a room 😭
