How do you stop roommates from slamming their doors at all hours of the day. Thinking about just taking the doors off the hinges until they figure out why they are done

Contextually after saying they were thinking about taking them off “they came off” sounds like a parent talking about a consequence to their kid, meaning op took them off. Either way, if OP took them off they need to put them back up asap to avoid genuine real legal issues. And if they were knocked off by the roommate op needs to report it to protect themselves from damage charges

I know if op did remove the hinges I would hate for them to get in legal trouble bc they didn’t know it was that serious. If they didn’t do it then my comment is meaningless, darn oh darn. If they did I may have helped someone get consequences while their asshole roommates get nothing.
