Be upfront about owning an ESA and ask about any pet fees or registration you need to do with the landlord.

^^^^ and communicate a lot with them when it comes to anything. whether it’s buying groceries, toiletries, things for your bathroom, etc just so you don’t accidentally double or triple on things. also it (hopefully) creates a positive relationship between you and everyone when the communication is high and should keep issues low

if you have a problem with anything anyone is doing, bring it up (nicely) immediately. it’ll only worsen the relationship if you let it simmer, and it will only make you more angry the longer you go without saying anything
