Say you’ve started to notice a smell in the dorm and ask if they changed any products recently. If they haven’t, ask them what products they use because maybe you’re just not used to that scent. When they get to the dryer sheets/deodorant, make a comment like “oh I heard (insert brand) doesn’t really work” and if they try to argue say “(name) in the nicest way possible, it’s not working”.

Just tell them that they stink nicely just be like hey i want to let you know u kinda smell and ik we dont know eachother like that i dont want u to feel like im being mean either cause ik people can be mean ash so id want to know so im just letting u know

Tell them you went to the store and saw deodorant that was buy one get one free and figured they ran out a while ago and hadn’t had a chance to get more so you grabbed them one.

I hate to say it but there’s no way to say it without hurting their feelings. They might not be able to afford deodorant or a good laundry detergent, etc. Maybe offer to buy them some hygiene products? If you can afford it ofc
