In my experience this does not end well and will end in resentment over the mess… you can only ask a few times before you have to stop. Don’t clean the mess tho or they will rely on you to clean it after a while

Give them a choice on what to clean like “would you rather clean the bathroom or the kitchen”, and maybe only once a month. Did this with my last nasty ass bitch roommate and it worked for a couple of months.
