When I was like 11 I found a praying mantis outside of my dentist, it was pouring and I thought it needed to be saved so I secretly brought it in the car to bring to the woods or something and well it started flying around while my mom was driving which almost caused like 2 accidents and I sobbed the entire time. My only defense is I didn’t know they could fly

In my 12th grade science class, my teacher brought in a praying mantis egg sack he found. The heat inside the building hatched the eggs and we had hundreds of baby praying mantis’s all over the room and then eventually in the school. Really sad to see them smashed
