I don’t think enough people face this problem for it to be universally agreed upon. But it does sound shitty

I once had to hold an kind of intervention with my roommate and RA because they kept letting plants die and dirty dishes pile up (later found out they were keeping FERTILIZER in the dorm) so we had an infestation so bad you couldn’t see the floor. I drew up a very fair rm contract and they left the room and ditched the meeting because they felt it was unfair. So I fear it’s not a universal rule but perhaps you are the exception

I agree, at least in my situation! Gave an intervention over a singular hair tie that was left on a table we never used in the living room, and dishes in the sink (none of them were ever mine, I hand washed mine asap but was always the one blamed). Somehow I still thought we were friends but they proceeded to be passive aggressive and mean girl the rest of the year and a half we lived together 🥰

MY OLD ROOMMATE!!! she would ask for interventions over someone walking down the halls too loudly, and act like we were in a reality tv show after watching one
