This is also on top of the fact I have a dog with me and I had to literally couch hop to other peoples places so my dog and I wouldn’t die from heat stroke. I didn’t get a discount on rent and they’re asking me why I should get it even tho they know I couldn’t inhabit my apartment for 3 weeks

I am trying to find a good one in my area. I’m also getting the health department, bbb, and a few other government agencies involved cause it’s fucking ridiculous how I’m paying full months rent for that and then have to still pay the lease break fee and 2 more months rent for the 60 day notice. I’ve been so stressed lately cause of this cause each day idk if I’m gonna come home and see my dog dead

Oh it 100% is. It’s against health codes to leave a tenant without AC for an extended period of time, especially in excessive heat over 85 degrees which I was experiencing
