This is so true. The other day I hit such a runners high, and I was expecting to feel that on my next run. I didn’t get there. I’m learning to not expect anything from a run but running. When I expect to reach the runners high I’m thinking the whole time “Are we there yet?” And it makes the run sad

I struggle so much with this too. It’s so hard not to get discouraged whenever I have a really good run and then a really hard one. I just have to remind myself that it’s all part of the process, and it’s privilege to be able to choose my hard!
