background checks do nothing if you haven’t done anything illegal or worth going on a record. Do you know how many mass shooters have killed a bunch of people and then info comes out that they were (legal) menaces to society LONG before they killed someone. And even then, there was a mass shooter who was on multiple FBI red flag lists and nobody did a single thing. Those checks mean nothing if you’re not going to actually enforce the rules

if we had real gun control these things wouldn't happen, my own sister (whom i don't trust with a gun) could easily go and get one even with her mental diagnosis and that is very wrong and scary. the regulations should be significantly more effective, nobody is arguing ban guns but the argument is make it harder to access EVEN if you are a "good" person. but to ur point if it was not a gun issue and just a criminal issue then why don't more school stabbing happen in countries where it is banned?
