Honestly neither make sense to me. I agree guns should be more of a process to obtain, but it’s still people who murder people, as much as I hate the phrase. And while gun control will also minimize damage, the real killer is white supremacy. Almost every shooter, including poc shooters, are white supremacists.

I don’t think the point of the post was that we should treat gun laws the way we do abortions. It was just putting what we do to abortions in another context to reveal how stupid it is. And I do agree, it’s people who kill people, but stricter gun laws would definitely minimize deaths. In England they have stabbings instead of shootings bc of laws and while yes it’s bad that people still murder, less people get murdered in stabbings than in shootings because knives are a less effective weapon.
