I don’t know if “starting hookups” is the way you want to go about it. My advice is go to a sex ed talk/group on campus, learning about the common STI’s around, and learn about contraceptives. If your school has a health clinic you should be able to get a birth control that hopefully fits your lifestyle. BUT STILL USE CONDOMS And avoid telling guys you’re a virgin, they might look at you as something to “conquer”

Sex can be super stress free and enjoyable if done safely and with someone you trust (doesn’t have to be a boyfriend) Also for your first time I’m personally against a hookup. If you have a bad first experience it may or may not cause you to have a negative outlook on sex and men. DM for any other questions :)
