I grew up in a wealthy suburb full of Indians and Chinese but like bourgeoise ones. And our town was only 52% white. There were people from so many different countries. One year we’d have a new kid from Korea, and other times we’d have multiple people from other countries like Hungary and Chile. There were still a few people that had never left the country though. Then I went to college and found out that most Americans don’t have as much exposure to other cultures.
