this might sound crazy but I s2g there’s something like “retroactive fatphobia”? where some people react hatefully to any subtle visual indicators that you used to be bigger, even if it’s just them reflecting the mainstream conventional beauty standard rather than consciously clocking those traits as markers of significant weight loss

either way though, when people feel the need to make degrading remarks about your appearance then that’s just them exposing their own weird resentful biases, not speaking to any truth about the way you look. shit sucks, you don’t deserve it
