I’m sorry, but this isn’t correct. It directly translates to dog wolf or wolf dog, however you want to translate that. Canis is dog. Lupus is wolf. It says dog wolf. Grey is canUs or grisseus, the latter of which directly applies to the color of the animal. Canus is an adjective of age, so more commonly referring to a canus senilis (grey haired old man, lol).

what? its not saying the literal translation of the individual words “gray” and “wolf”. its the scientific name for a gray wolf. Wolves are in the genus “canis” because they are dog-like
