THIS i feel like people who know i’m an artist will hear about any creative-ish side gig and tell me “you should do that” when it has nothing to do with my practice and is totally out of my element. like why are you telling me to install car vinyl wrap for money when i’m an illustrator

I hate when people tell me i should make my art into a side hustle or do commissions. Nooo!! 🗣️🗣️ I do art for fun! I might one day sell what i already make but im not taking commissions cause i hate having an limits on my art, i wanna do what i wanna do when i wanna do it That’s like the whole point of art

Like im tired of the “turn your hobby into a side hustle advice” Fuck that! Its a hobby for a reason, for fun! And just thinking about commissions stresses me out. Some people might want the weirdest shit but also they might something that i just can’t do. Like i know someone who got asked to do Superbat smut simply cause they draw both Superman and Batman. Like PARDON TF OUTTA ME?! 🧍🏼‍♂️ Like that was insane and i was only told about it, they lived it💀
