I had phases where I hate everything I made and wiped it- either by destroying canvases or gessoing a new layer. I’m not sure why- but you’re a perfectionist… after just returning from a presumed hiatus. Give yourself compassion, allow yourself to grow and explore. Every piece is a journey, not the product.
i hate it so much i want to wipe it from the canvas. it’s elementary in both technique and design. looks like a 6th grader went corporate. it’s the “only draws eye” kid meets target corporate pride collection. it’s awful. the posing. the lighting. the randomness and unintentionallity. i hate it all.
Hello! I think it’s honestly lovely and going in the right direction but you can improve a little on the emotion with little quirks of the eyebrow and corners of the mouth to subtly convert sorrow. More downturned eyebrows could help sell that narrative and I think it would play a lot with the pink on the colorful side as that already looks like tears. Don’t beat yourself up honestly your work is amazing, just not yet complete you got it!
