should i continue spironolactone or do accutane? i’m 2 months into spir and my skin isnt worse but its not much better. derm told me to do accutane but i’m a heavy drinker and want to avoid it if i can but in the past it worked great until it came back.

any question about prescription medications should be for a doctor or pharmacist, not random internet strangers. if you’re grown enough to drink heavily, you’re grown enough to admit it to your doctor.

I’d give it a couple more months—no noticeable change will be seen (for most products) until 4-6 months. But if you know accutane will work and faster, if that’s your goal I would go on accutane

I take spironolactone, but I specifically started taking it for PCOS, And acne was not my biggest concern, but I will say it’s significantly helped but with that being said the millisecond you stop taking it it comes back

taking your health seriously isn’t ‘a bad mood’?
