i'm thinking of dropping (just cuz of fees and parents 💔) but i'd really appreciate some advice regarding that,,, i just got a bid last week and i LOVE the chapter but im kind of #broke

As sad as it is to say, if you’re already stressed about finances, it might not be feasible. I went through something really similar and ended up leaving school because I just didn’t feel like the cost reflected the experience (college in general, not Greek life) but def talk to ur chapter that gave you the bid and see your options! Especially since you aren’t initiated yet! I was in the boat where I tried to tough it out for a term, paid new member and first term dues, got initiated, and 1/2

Then left. Everyone was very kind and supportive AND flexible so I’d definitely consider maybe staying until you’re initiated if you really love and click with the chapter. I say this bc I was granted unaffiliated status, and after I transfer from community college I’m going to try and rejoin my chapter at a school I like more! Best of luck and much love to you💞
