Sorority Life on Yik Yak | How many hours a week (on an average week) do u spend at sorority events? I want to go through recruitment but im worried i wont have enough time with everything else in my life. If you could give just an average hour count that would be great. :)

Recruitment itself takes the most time. After that for me we had chapter then a pledge ed "class" for 1 hr every week before chapter to learn about the history and sorority and prep for initiation. Sometimes I'd go to a sisterhood event but that wasn't required. I'd say right when I joined max 4hr a week if I was hanging out with people outside scheduled events too. It also depends on the sororities service hour requirement some are low some are higher. If ur not on exec or anything it's not

Ask during recruitment. Every chapter is different.

1-2 plus a few hours a week for my officer position. But yea depends on the chapter and school.

Okay thank you! I am not really worried about service hours because I would normally volunteer weekly. This really helps, I just was worried it would be like 10+ hrs a week on top of school, work, and my outside volunteering and responsibilities. :)

My chapter had 8 service hours mandatory per semester and we had the highest requirement at my university so idk
