i think the point is about how the jedi have lost their way and strayed from what their ideals claim and what they are meant to be over the course of their ever-closer relationship with the senate, particularly through the war, as well as how even someone who is thought to be one of the strongest bastions of the light side has not been unaffected by the sith’s far-reaching influence and control over the Force

say what you will about the acolyte, but i was really interested in its salient approach to showing the earliest stages of the jedi’s harmfully close relationship with the senate and their detachment from the wider galaxy (the people they were actually meant to be serving), which the sith were able to identify, exacerbate, and exploit, eventually allowing them to tip the power scales enough to weaken the jedi and destroy them
