While I don’t think the Jedi handled Anakin well, it’s actually more 99% Palpatine’s fault because Palpatine was quite literally grooming Anakin and manipulating him. The Jedi did do wrong though and they have their fair share of playing a part in Anakin’s decent. They recognized that there was a problem with Anakin, Yoda practically yaps about it all the time, but never really bothered too much with helping him because they were a bit too stuck in their ways.

What severe emotional regulation problem? And what repression? The Jedi aren’t taught to repress emotions, they’re taught to recognize and understand them but not be controlled by them.
