this is valid as fuck actually. the movie is funny, has dreamy portions, and also serious portions that have you on the edge of your seat- genuinely such an overlooked movie in the franchise

I always loved the Phase I Clone designs in this movie specifically. Clone Wars obviously makes them look more stylized but the helmets in this movie looks amazing

Clones pulling up and the action scenes >>>> The anakin x padme dialogue was what ruined it for me, the love plot was fine but really, the dialogue was shit

I know I’m definitely in a minority with the opinion, but man I just love everything about this movie

Exactly. It’s a fun adventure movie with a mystery plot line and a traditional classic love story. The movie also has some really exciting action scenes

Although it’s not my favorite movie, I agree it’s overlooked and underrated

Definitely. I understand complaints people have with the film, but those complaints just don’t bother me personally. I actually love the “over the top” Shakespearean style forbidden romance that George was going for in the film. Also this version of Obi-Wan is awesome. That death sticks scene is legendary

Especially the introduction of seismic charges, tickles my brain in all the the right places

the scene where obi wan just CHARGES out the window towards the droid that dropped those millipede looking thing in padmes room, makes me laugh because obi wan seems to hate anakins recklessness but it's like hmm i wonder where he learnt that? LOL

The dialogue is supposed to be a tribute to Shakespearean literature as well as films from the Golden Age of Hollywood. So lots of dialogue where characters state the way they feel in very obvious and poetic ways I understand people not being a fan of it, but George always meant for Star Wars to be different. It’s a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away for a reason. It’s not supposed to feel like modern day. But I’m also a high school English teacher, so I love the Shakespearean influence
