in my sixth grade science class we had a call and response to get our attention that went “mighty mitochondria, cranks out energía!” i wonder what the mighty midichlorian cranks out

Tbh midichlorians weren’t a bad idea it makes the force finite and inaccessible to people that don’t have an abundance of it. Meaning the jedi purge has a lot more meaning, in my view, so i think they’re appropriate as a means of measuring the force

i like the idea that they’re an indicator of possible potential but with dedication you can achieve more than midichlorians would indicate because the force flows through all. like how chirrut isn’t actually force sensitive but clearly the force likes him or something

midichlorians are an interesting way to put a biological indicator for a certain kind of potential and also opens up the path for interesting takes on communing with the force that aren’t necessarily rooted in biology, like chirrut’s

Like for instance I know Anakin is super high in Midichlorians, but his children are higher meaning they’re more powerful than he would be, so thats the main way I know Luke is more powerful than Anakin

pretty sure it’s the opposite, anakin has a higher midichlorian count than his kids but luke became more powerful than his father because he really invested himself in his studies, his connection to the force, and his dedication to the light side

Im not too sure, but I like the idea of being able to study the force and become more powerful in it
