Star Wars should pull a Doctor Who and start doing full-cast audio dramas. Imagine all the stories we’d get that they’d never follow up anywhere else! Not to mention what they could do with box sets like what Doctor Who has done for McGann.

Some of the Legends Audiobooks are amazing because they have sound effects, music, and a guy doing different voices for dialogue, but I think if they made audiobooks for the Legends, Comics, or new canon books with a fully loaded cast that would go absolutely ham.

That would be awesome! Some of the modern comics have been doing stuff like that occasionally if you haven’t checked them out, like the 2020 runs following up on Qi’ra and Crimson Dawn’s stories in crossover events

If you’ve never heard the NPR radio dramas of the original trilogy you should give them a shot. Mark Hamill and Anthony Daniels are in it, along with John Williams score and Ben Burtt’s sound fx. For being written and recorded in the 80s they’re fantastic

This made me remember that we never got a Lucie Miller Further Adventures Volume 2, and if I have to picture Jar Jar as Lucie, now you do as well

Seriously! They had the nerve to put a Volume One on the end of that box set and then not do another in the 8 YEARS since. But also dear lord that is some high quality nightmare fuel

I still remember my first time listening to the Heir To The Empire anniversary edition and being blown away by the music and sound effects work for it. Same for both Force Unleashed novels.

I’m also still officially annoyed that, alongside the force unleashed III game/book, we apparently did lose some Force Unleashed full cast audio drama as well. And as much as I love audiobooks, especially those with the music/effects, there’s just something so unique about a radio drama.
