Filoni is overrated, some fans have even created this fake idea that he’s a god and believe that HE made Star Wars

Tbh I don’t understand why people started to idolize him, and I don’t understand now why it’s a trend to hate him either (not saying that’s what your doing at all, it’s perfectly fine to have your own opinions on things but I’ve noticed people have been critical of him to a weird threshold lately). Seasons are a little rough and it gets better as it goes on and he has more time to build off the characters etc. It happened with TCW and Rebels, respectively. It looks like it’s going to be happening with Ahsoka too. I thought the show itself was fine, but I know a lot of people didn’t like it which is ok too! But I’m used to that happening and at this point trust the process. TCW pumped a lot of life into the prequel trilogy and created many new fans with a love for Star Wars, and I’m hoping

With the projects that come out in the next few years we can start to see some love and care to that level for the sequels, too! I dont think it’s helpful for lucasfilm to put him on a pedestal which they seem to be doing, but it’s undeniable that the man knows Star Wars However, he’s a lot better when it comes to animation as opposed to live action projects. Been less and less involved as he’s spent more time on his own projects like Ahsoka and the Heir to the Empire movie. I’m excited to see what the future holds for Star Wars projects, but I think it’s unhealthy to idolize creators and create unrealistic expectations. But I think there’s a level of reverence for the creator of TCW that sticks around in some of our hearts

Favreau does hold more weight for me tbh including the work he did with some of clone wars, my problem in general is people just claiming to know Star Wars better bc? At this point there is no singular Star Wars, there’s the original trilogy, there’s all the legends supplemental materials, there’s the prequels + clone wars, the sequel trilogy, and the other Disney projects. And most people who are fans of Star Wars will pick and choose from that what they actually want to be Star Wars
