i think it’s really sad that people are saying if byler doesn’t happen then Stranger Things lacks representation. what’s more empowering than focusing solely on who will is as a person (queerness and all) and giving him a sense of identity?

We already have Robin, and it would make zero sense to throw away 4 seasons of character relationship with Mike and El for Will and Mike. Yes, I know there was some buildup in s4, but it was a one sided buildup about Will, nothing related to Mike feeling the same

There literally being a lesbian character who currently has a love interest, but they’ll ignore that because lesbians/wlw don’t count to them 🤣✌🏽

To me, showing him having a doomed crush on his straight friend is literally perfect representation. Falling for a straight person happens to almost every young queer person, it is the MOST relatable thing. I mean it happened to robin too 😭

i think too like will is representation all on his own!! he doesn’t need to be in a relationship to be gay

It’s cuz they too male centered, and have no problem with shitting on and erasing the female cast (El specifically) in the name of a ship that will never happen 🤫 We can’t call them that tho, or else we’re homophobic and misogynist

I noticed the way Byler Stan’s speak on El 😬 Like yes Wills moment was iconic at the end of episode 5 but I’ve seen people say that Will is more powerful than El as if she isn’t the reason they’re all still alive. She’s saved their lives multiple times. It’s giving misogyny but to them it’s okay to talk down on el cause they’re rooting for a gay couple. It’s very icky and gross.

Robins conversation with Will literally solidified the fact that Will and Mike will never happen.
