Where were the demogorgons? Or the demodogs? Why weren’t the vines alerting the hive mind? How was the gang, especially hopper, not arrested by the military? How did Mike not see El leaving the truck?

It’s legit fiction and nothing about this show has been realistic it’s supposed to be a fun story about friendship with some cool sci-fi aspects to it

Being fictional does not excuse something from bad writing by being able to claim that it’s not a realistic show. It defies Kay’s character. She almost choked Hopper to death with a creature from the upside down, why the hell would she let him go after he ruined everything she worked for? It’s just lazy writing by skipping forward in time and having zero consequences for any of the characters. It undermines the threat that the military posed the entire season
