oh i thought thats what their conversation on the radio tower in the upside down was about, like mike specifically being understanding about it. i figured mike assumed he was the crush going into that convo with will and they were clearing the air in a way that wasnt too insane given the situation they were in

"i guess i was just so self-absorbed that i didnt see it, i feel like an idiot" is what mike says that made me interpret it the way i did. i feel like, if mike is looking back on stuff and thinking "wow, how didn't i notice that?" maybe it couldve been a mixture of stuff that indicated that will liked him and stuff like being unsure about dancing with the girl at the snow ball, but maybe it IS just the latter idk
