Being someone that’s experienced SA is so annoying for the simple fact that people act confused about how people like trump stay in office after allegations and Epstein and then later shame SA victims for coming forward and discount their experiences 🙃

Everyone wants to act like they’re an ally until it’s actually time to help people who are experiencing sexual harm then all of a sudden you’re untrustworthy, to blame, stupid, or brought this on

Yeah this is the reality for any sort of abuse and it’s awful society does this to victims. They’re sheep who would rather ignore things then put themselves in a bit of discomfort to do the right thing. I’m sorry op

Yeah sadly know that too well from other experiences of abuse 🫠. I know people see it as counterproductive sometimes but I’d just rather everyone stop pretending like they’re actually care about abuse (in this case sexual abuse) when they really don’t. It’s sickening feeling like you have a safe space and can process the trauma from the abuse in peace just to find out the people who deemed themselves “safe” treat you the same as people who openly don’t care about abuse if you don’t react the
